Haunted Depot and Hayrides - 10/10 & 10/31/2008 at 7 pm - 11 pm Experience the Legend of the Haunted Depot in downtown Ringgold, Georgia. Built in 1849, this depot is a historic spot haunted by a fallen Civil War Soldier. Continue your Haloween experience with the Haunted Hayride. Come and join the fun this October. $5 admission. Oktoberfest 2008 - 10/1-10/31/2008
Fun includes authentic German bands, food and beer. Spend the evening dancing the Polka and Chicken dance, or relax in the adjacent beer garden and enjoy the crisp night air. Whichever section of the huge Festhalle you like best, be sure to sample the fresh-cooked wurst and large variety of German beers.

Saturday Evening Music Concert Series - 10/4, 10/11, 10/18 & 10/25/2008 Musicians perform each Saturday at 8pm. Regional musicians perform a variety of music from Appalachian Mountain, Bluegrass, and Southern Gospel music. The program lasts from June-mid-November. Listen to the sounds and songs of yesteryear. North Georgia's mountain music singers and pickers will appear on the grounds of the historic Dahlonega Gold Museum. Enjoy acoustic and old-time strings as the sounds of yesterday fill the air. Visiting Artist Series -10/4-10/5, 10/11-10/12, 10/18-10/19 & 10/25-10/26/2008 9 am-4:45pm Artists and craftspeople from Georgia and surrounding states will demonstrate their arts and crafts. They will have their works for sale in the museum. $2.50 - $4. $3 parking.

Fall Hoedown - 10/18/2008 at 2 pm - 9 pm Celebrate autumn’s arrival with a 2 p.m. cakewalk, 4:30 p.m. hayrides, 5 p.m. chili and drinks for sale, 6:30 p.m. campfire and dancing, and finally at 8 p.m. a professional storyteller around a bonfire. $3 parking.
